Dino reported a Scammer/Fraudster (8317441831 from GONZALES area, CA). The following comments were posted: Scam call from 831-774-5195, ext 002 - Lawrence Thomas, YMax Communications Corp. pretending to be PGE threatening to shut off our power. Received a call from Lawrence Thomas on 43013 at 4:48 pm claiming to be of PGE and asking for our account number and indicating he knew our address. Claimed that due to non-payment we were to have our power shut down if we didnt pay $1346.23 in the next couple of minutes. Advised me the phone call was being recorded. When asked followup questions, Thomas seemed to get flustered. I asked Thomas for a phone number, which he gave as 831-774-5195 ext 002, and I told him I would call him back. I did and no indication was it was PGE. They answered the phone as accounts receivable. I asked for what company. They said PGE. I asked for the extension. Talked to Thomas again. Again, not sure. I hung up and called PGEs service line and they assured me that this was a scam. I reversed looked up this number and it indicates is a communications company - 831-774-5195 YMax Communications Corp. landline from Gonzales, CA. Police have been notified.
